Back in 2018 Jacaranda Books and Words of Colour Productions announced their Twenty in 2020 initiative with a call for submissions. The aim was to celebrate black writing and provide black authors the opportunity to publish their work. Authors from three categories – fiction, non-fiction and poetry- were invited to submit their work for consideration and successful applicants would have their work published in 2020.

We were delighted to read recently that Jacaranda Books has selected their 20 authors and applaud them for providing this much-needed opportunity to promote black authors.
